About Private Lessons
Private vocal instruction offers students an opportunity to work towards healthy, efficient singing and fulfilling music making. Good singing is universal. Healthy vocal habits, formed by shedding excess manipulation and tension, allow students to sing a wide variety of repertoire well while minimizing fatigue and vocal strain. In addition to vocal technique, Erica works with students to build confidence, sing independently, build musical vocabulary and ease performance anxiety.
Lessons generally begin with a "check in" of the student's experiences during the week. This is followed with vocal exercises, designed to impart important technical aspects of singing. The remainder of the lesson is dedicated to work on repertoire. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of musical genres.

Despite our best efforts, our lives aren't always predictable: family emergencies, schedule changes and illness can lead to conflicts. To be as fair and flexible as possible, cancellations or changes must be made more than 24 hours from the time of your lesson. Anything less than 24 hours, and the fee will not be refunded.
Make-up lesson times will be made available (based upon the availability of Ms. Schuller) for those who have cancelled within the 24 hour policy. The same 24-hour cancellation policy applies to rescheduled/make-up lessons.
